End of The World

Again and again the prophecies of the end of time and the world and the new order seem to come across our lives. We look out from the windows of our comfortable lives and observe the world. Not truly knowing which fuels which, we watch the traumas of the world and have the prophecies ringing in our ears and dancing before our eyes. To be honest the world around us does seem to be falling apart; earthquakes, wars, oil leaks, de-forestations, extinctions, nuclear threats, hijacks, continual diseases, and generally a fracturing of human society.

And with that there is an obvious ripple out and effect on the Earth and our other relatives.

Untitled1“This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it.” The Hopi also have prophesied that “Turtle Island could turn over two or three times and the oceans could join hands and meet the sky.” This seems to be a prophecy of a “pole shift” — a flipping, of the planet on its axis. The Hopi call this imminent condition — and that of society today — “Koyaanisqatsi”, which means “world out of balance…a state of life that calls for another way.”

When we consider the prophecies they all do seem to hold a similar warning and some might point o a definitive point of no return

Within the Saghj’ic; Wolven Path Lineage Tradition is the belief that from the First Breath in the First Times, the Creator, The One Above sent a teacher to humankind and that this teacher, the First Shaman, was a wolf; Fao-lin Mac Tire. The people refused to listen to the wolf and it was destroyed and vilified. And His body with legs dismembered was buried beneath the roots of the Great Tree of World. It is His blood that seeps to this day in the earth searching to be reborn and to bring His untold teaching the humans. (The link to the recent exsanguination of oil in the Gulf of Mexico and the re-occurrences of ‘red seas’ is somewhat alarming here!)

The reason for this ‘sending’ was to call humankind back to their primal roots.

The stories of the First Times tell how The Great Mother saw the stars above and grew lonely. In Her loneliness She sang a great prayer song to the stars above. This Prayer Song became the Great Tree of the World that stands in the centre of the Dark Green Forest of which each and every tree is a prayer. The Prayer Song so moved the Stars (who were the sparks of passion that arose when the First Ancestor Grandfather Fire as lightening pierced the Primordial Ocean Goddess) that they descended through the Great Tree of the World, each in turn being transmuted and transformed through the actions of the Fae Smyths from star matter to the forms of each and every Ancestor. The last star to fall to earth was the star that became human.

At that time, all walked on four legs and were close to the Great Mother.

It seems no accident in hindsight that the last star was human. It was as if the One Above knew that one day the human star would get lost and forget their ancestry. The One Above had charged all of the first Ancestors to be the guides and teachers of the young star.

The young star forgot and on that fateful day stood upright on two legs.

From high up on their two legs, the humans began to think (always a bad sign) that they were above all the others; from high us they forgot their ancestry and their connection to the Earth and to the Fae Smyths and to the prayers of the trees.

In this way the human stars fell away from the family of the Great Mother and in their aloneness began to make the machines of separation, which co-incidentally they thought were means of communication. The humans, lost, wandered the earth never being satisfied, never being home. This became a despair for them and in that despair they became frustrated and angry, always searching for the next battle.

Untitled2The précised version of The Ragnarök tells us:

Neath sea the land sinketh, the sun dimmeth from the heavens fall the fair bright stars;

gusheth forth steam and gutting fire, to very heaven soar the hurtling flames.

And again…

It sates itself on the life-blood of fated men, paints red the powers’ homes with crimson gore.

Black become the sun’s beams in the summers that follow, weathers all treacherous.

Do you still seek to know? And what?

Brothers will fight and kill each other; sisters’ children will defile kinship.

It is harsh in the world, whoredom rife; an axe age, a sword age (and the sun rises); shields are riven; a wind age, a wolf age, before the world goes headlong.

No man will have mercy on another

And in the Wolven Path Tradition, their Ancestral Elders sing the song of the last return:

When Gealach the moon, sheds blood in the turning of four moons, Her sacred countenance marred by the dust of the Two Leggeds,

The Wheel of Seasons will come together above the Earth

No longer holding it in the one place

The One Wind will blow the land below to the skies above as Bran The Raven leaves His still roost in the North

The wings of the sky will blacken and fall; the songs of the skies will no longer sing of the morning but of the night.

The words of the Two Leggeds carried in the wind will become silent; that silence will turn spear against sword.

Sagh’ic Prophecy of the Return of the Son of The Land

This seems to be the place and moment where all the prophecies of the other Traditions have us as humans.

Untitled3When we read and digest the prophecies we soon come to realise that they are not foretelling the end of the world, rather the demise of humankind! We should a moment to consider the earth and our relationship with her.

When we consider cancer, a dis-ease becoming more prevalent in the world today, a dis-ease that uses all the bodies resources without giving anything back; it grows and exists without consideration of the host and in its blind lust to exist it finally destroys the host. We could liken humankind to this analogy!

When we consider an irritant upon our bodies, we try to shake it off, we scratch, we wash, we apply medication. If we step aside and look at the Earth as such a body could we in some humility consider that She in her actions is doing what we would do?

When we the Two Leggeds (humans) became amnesiac to our true origin and place in the Wheel of the Seasons (The wheel of life) we chose to be outcast. In the moment we lost connection to the Faery Smyths; it was/is the Faery Smyths that provide the regeneration to the children of the Earth and we alone no longer seem to be immune from all those ailments that our Earth Brethren are, nor are we truly able to repair our bodies, minds and souls. As we gaze out into that world again we see those and the reflections of ourselves wandering with fractured lives, through spiritual, mental, emotional and physical disrepair.

Let us look again and stare with intent upon the destruction we think we see. And in that gaze we must come to see and know that is us the Two Leggeds that are the cause of the destruction and trauma of the Earth not the Great Mother. The mythological analogy of life, the world, our society, even our selves as the Dark Green Forest; a state of harmonious prayer is reflected in the way we treat at a very real and practical level, the forests of the earth. We bring abut the destruction of ourselves as we destroy the trees and the Prayers of the Trees; we disconnect ourselves from that all embracing spirit, that breath that breathes us alive. These are acts of the murder of community, the very thing we seek.

The prime precept of the Sagh’ic as it is in many Animist and Shamanic Traditions is that of community, family, and clan. This precept is enshrined in the mythology of The Tradition in its metaphor as a pack gathered and held together. In this Gathering all are nourished and guided on the safe and tried pathways for maintaining the existence of the pack.

Again we stare out into the world and we cannot fail to see that the tradition of Community is falling apart. In the Nordic sagas there is a telling of the long winter of Fimbulvetr, during which human society will break down. All moral codes will be broken and society will disintegrate completely. The strong Nordic notion of protection of kin is the main value that is especially focused on as one being broken. Seeing as how this standard stood above all others, the thought of that code no longer applying would have terrified the listeners of that prophecy and yet here we are staring out at a world terrified but not doing anything about it. The lesson we all miss is that we, the Two Leggeds are not the community, we are the outcasts of the global community; it is this family we are not returning to and so the long winter is our doing!

12032211_497264237105612_3193608733816896878_nBefore the end of the world, three winters without summers in between and order will be lost in the human world. Fathers will fight their sons, siblings will commit incest, mothers will seduce their children, and brothers will tear at each other’s hearts. The world of man will be consumed with war. The sky will fall into a pit of flames and the earth will sink into the sea. After the end of the world, the earth will rise renewed out of the sea and flourish. Grain will grow where no grain was sown;

…. The earth was begun, and so it shall end.

The Dawn and Dusk of Man is a Thinkquest Mythology Project by Sheila, Min, Ana and Tencia of Montgomery Blair High School

Human beings have come in their despair to live for a tomorrow that will never happen; they have come to live in a world where there is never final satisfaction and as such they strive to change the world to meet their needs as if they could. When we regard our Elders, the ones that came in the first stars down the branches of the Great Tree of the World, they live their lives with a commitment to the moment of that life.

In His sermon on the Mount Jesus said, “……do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? (I believe He is suggesting that we are of equal value) Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?’ or “What shall we drink?’ or “What shall we wear?’ For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things….. ” Mathew 6 NT

Untitled4Many will speak of reaching a higher consciousness. Given the circular motion and structure of the Wheel of the Seasons, maybe we should consider that as with trying to connect to our Higher selves we travel the pathway of our lowers selves; Lower world to Upper Worlds, sub conscious to higher conscious, that this ascension to higher consciousness is in fact a return to lower consciousness; they are just intellectual words! The lilies of the fields, the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, the animals of the forest and plains, all are wiser, more content, at peace, never struggling with tomorrow, un-fractured or dismembered through the loss of soul. Can we not see that all the other Children of the Earth have never ‘descended’, our only ascension is to return to the primal harmony of the First Time; the time of the Four Leggeds.

Humans do not need to evolve; they need to de-volve!

When we in that gazing into the world see our irresponsible desire for wealth and its dependence on oil, we may forget that this oil is the remnants of our dead ancestors; Christina Pratt said at the Shamanic Retreat ” Standing in the Ancestral River “, held in BC Canada May 2010, that we have forgotten our dead; we have forgotten how to treat our dead, we have lost respect for our dead. We abuse the remains of our dead to maintain our image of ourselves. When we lose respect of those that came before; the dead, we lose respect of ourselves. Little wonder that we cannot bring ourselves to offer respect to any Elder, and of the community, the Great Mother Earth. We have lost respect for the dead, because we, the Two Leggeds, seemingly standing so high above all others, have come to consider ourselves immortal! It is that very belief that is bringing about the end of the Two Leggeds!

At the same Retreat the community gathered as the stars of the night sky began to appear, in a sacred ceremony about our journey through the essence of starlight, I spoke these words,

“We are not the final product; we are but a means, as were our Ancestors that this magic continues out into the future destiny, the future dreams and to the Descendants. Never let us lose faith in that.

We are both dreams and dreamers…

The Cree say “Dreams are sent by the spirits, who are we to ignore them….”

As we are the dreams, we are sent by the spirits, let us not ignore ourselves or each other….

As we are the dreamers, we are the vehicle by which the spirits continue to create the wonder of this Universe and this planet; let us not ignore that! ”

We, our lives, our existence, our moment upon this earth, is the dream; as the dream becomes a nightmare, violently the dreamer will awake and the dream will be no more. If we are to do anything, let us stop being the elements of nightmare! Maybe better still, let us forgo the dreams and return to our real life.

Humans are good at talking, but not so much at listening; all the stars that took form before us in all their shapes and sizes and lives are shouting at us, but we are to busy talking amongst ourselves. And maybe we do talk about the end or what the next fashion should be, or how that person is to be judged, maybe we do. And when we find blame in the oil spills, stop, and look around, look at all that surrounds us – how much is derived from that very oil. Then apply that to every other blame or judgement we make; stop talking, start listening!

In this way when we listen to prophecies, make sure that we are not becoming the means of the fulfillment of those prophecies.

The Huna say that thought precedes energy – be careful and wary of the thoughts we attach ourselves to!

In December 2012 we looked to the sky and trembled at the great ending, we did the same in December 2000 with Y2K; and now e come to The Blood Moon.

Along with many spiritual traditions, the Sagh’ic have a deep awareness of the Blood Moon celestial events in reference to their ancient stories…

“Gealach gathers the blood of the stag and wraps it around herself four times, turning her darkened light deepest red. In this bloodied light, it seems as the end of all things; Grian hidden, his steed Damh dead, the Forest blackened by the night and no songs of valour or victory.” Sagh’ic Song of the Solar Hunt

Untitled5

Sunday September 27th2015 is the 4th Blood moon in sequence, an event held sacred and with warning of great change by Traditions and Religions all over the Earth.

All speak about great tribulation and turmoil, some of great ending, all speak of change

The Elders of the Sagh’ic can only speak of the ancient words of our Ancestors and the pleading for the people of the two legs to bring their songs and lives back into relationship with each other, the Earth and all who equally call Her Mother and Home.

We look at this world, the world of humans and cannot see its primal beauty, marred as it is with war, injustice, intolerance, environmental abuse, vacancy of spirit and the mindless cult of the individual.

This is not a calling for Earth Healing, this is a call for the healing of humanity.

This is a call for bringing every moment of our lives to ceremony. Ceremony is a relational intimacy with all other, an acknowledgement of the sacredness of every moment and every inhabitant of the moment as if there were nothing else. Ceremony requires a slowing down to partake and be part of this intimacy. Ceremony is heart knowledge that all other is an integral part of ourselves and is equally of life and spirit as are we. Every breath, every movement every word, every act, every interaction becomes a prayer of deliberate and chosen love for the other. Ceremony is an act of innocence.

None can truly say what the Great Change will be, and yet the Change will happen, seen, unseen, conscious, unconscious, personally, globally; change requires something to end in order for something to begin, die in order for birth.

The Sagh’ic say “A heart can ache forever and suffering result for more than one heart, or a heart can break in a moments pain and all hearts are free in the fire of love.”

The energies that hold our planet and our peoples right now are not light or comfortable; Humans are at war with the earth, the environment, each other and ourselves. The blood of all of those in a very real way is flowing over the land and sea, filling the sky, and if we are truly honest, we are drowning in it,

“….The hearts of the Two Leggeds will break and the fire contained in each heart will be extinguished; The Two Leggeds will in that despair seek out the hearts that still burn and devour them in envy. Kindred will fade and animosity walk amongst those empty hearts……”

Sagh’ic Song of the Last Return

Many will say that the Moon will be drenched in blood and the end will come; who can tell what that truly means, save the 27th will mark a point to draw our attention that the ‘ending’ as already been happening and the Ancient Ones whoever they may be for our vast belief systems, are in great love shaking us to wake up to this.

Let us bring this prayer as a moment to moment reality in our lives

Let us sing to the Moon who is the symbol of family and community for all

Let us make offerings to each other before we make them to our gods and spirits

Let us know our responsibility for all the shadows we rage against

Let us give back rather than take, to each other and to the Earth

Let plead forgiveness to who or whatever we call sacred and divine for having forgotten

Let us make this our daily ceremony, our living ceremony, our heart beast ceremony

Let us now begin to wash the blood from the shining countenance of the one who calls us together.

Let us be innocent again.

The Last Song of the Sagh’ic ends thus:

Unknown-1“….Methair Tei (the earth) will fall into a great sleep and none will wake Her. The shadows of the emptiness and desolate will cover her and the great silence will come and only the dead remain.

A new song will arise from the Ocean and will be a song that the two legged will not know as it will not know them.

In that Springtime with snow still upon the land, all will walk as once upon four legs.

We keep repeating our looking outside and placing responsibility on some external force that will end the world.

I would ask us all to think about this moment right now; this moment now is dreaming and creating the future, not ending it.

Let us honour the bones of all our dead

Let us take responsibility for our collusions and collaborations

The Ragnarök is often translated to be “The end of our gods”

Haraldur Bernharðsson (2007:35).retranslated it to mean “renewal of the divine powers.”

Not a renewal of OUR Divine powers, but THE Divine powers

The Divine Powers never and will never change

It is we who must be humble and return on all fours to the Deep Dark Green of The Forest and be “one of” and not “of one”.

We are the young stars, we are young.

The older stars are trying to teach us to group up.

We need to surrender to this.

We cannot however use the excuse of being young for much longer.

All the Ancestors are speaking through many voices and lives.

If we do not listen, they will stop talking.

And once again we will be on our own.

Mankind needs to devolve so the world can evolve

This time the one above may not send another Teacher.

And for us two Leggeds the First Ancestor will gather the stars and the Darkness will take us.

Untitled6“We recognize the whole planet as a Being of which we are a part. We recognize that the time has come for the supreme transmutation, the ultimate alchemical act of conscious change of the ego into a voluntary return to the whole; And that, if we want it to be so, the  world will change, but only if we change ourselves first.
